Jaskirat.se: learning platform for kids in Swedish, English and Punjabi

Jaskirat.se is a learning platform for kids where learning should feel like play. Kids pick a subject and grade (preschool class to grade 6) and practise Swedish, English, Punjabi, math and coding through challenges, quizzes and games such as the pumpkin alphabet, the apple tree, memory and a robot programmed with commands. Stars, badges and a progress bar keep motivation up, and parents can share a child's progress through a link.

Everything is read aloud with natural voices in the right language via ElevenLabs, with Swedish, English and Punjabi (Gurmukhi) speech. Beyond the exercises there is a large printable library: handwriting practice and letter tracing in all three languages, A4 math worksheets and nearly 600 colouring pages in 35 categories and three difficulty levels, generated as SVG so they print sharply. There is also a drawing studio, step-by-step drawing guides, Swedish and Punjabi festivals, and science experiments and DIY projects.

Kids have no accounts of their own: a parent creates the account and adds kid profiles. The platform is built GDPR-compliant from the ground up, with self-hosted fonts, recorded consent to the terms, full data export, account deletion, automatic cleanup of unconfirmed accounts and security headers. Transactional email (welcome, confirm email, forgot password) is sent via Resend with custom branded templates.

The platform is built in Laravel 12 with Blade, Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS 4, with MySQL as the database, and has been live in production since 2026.
